Mick McHugh gig and free songwriting workshop in FNQ (Spiral Entertainment Production)
with Special Guests "Treebrother" (Townsville)
& Twiggy (Kuranda)
Sunday, 13th November, 4pm
@ Kuranda Amphitheatre - Understage
We have a very special treat for our second last installment of the "Kuranda Acoustic' music series with the seasoned Irish troubadour "Mick McHugh". Since leaving his homeland of Ireland and moving to the Southern Continent Mick has been making waves with his heartfelt performances, finding himself playing along side musical greats including, Pete Murray, Jeff Lang, Padey Casey (Ireland) and Australian Idol winner Damien Leith.
Mick McHugh has clocked up over twenty nominations in international, national and regional song-writing competitions and played a number of well known Festivals including the Byron Bay Bluesfest and Port Fairy Folk Festival just to name a couple. In November 2009, he was presented an Honour Award for his song “A Long Way From Home” from his debut EP in international contest “100% Music”. To have such a sought after performer doing his thing right here in Kuranda is a blessing.
