Got to be part of a brilliant session the other night with – Shane Howard, Paul Kelly, John Spillane, Declan O’Rouke, Pauline Scanlan, Sean Tyrrell with some of Ireland and Australia’s best folk musicians. We sat around till the late hours, everyone singing their songs, I got to sing my song Not in Kansas Anymore in front of all these inspirations! …it’s how I learnt and fell in love with music in Ireland …such a privilege for me to be part of it, still beaming from it … ?

And at the same time in Ireland, one of my best friends from school, Neill Muldowney, who died on Friday was being buried and people were raising a glass to him … In my heart, this session was for you Neill. Have fun up there Neill with Fr. Jack! (Frank Kelly Rip)
And my thanks goes out to Goanna Arts and Troubadour Music for putting on ‘Exile’ show – a powerful historical presentation using music, image and narrative
of Australian Irish history. Catch it folks if it comes round again!
